Reports provide detailed data on each MDAs' FOIA activities. Freedom of Information Act 2011 came into force on the 28th day of May 2011. The Act was enacted to provide for public access to public records and information to the extent consistent with public interest and protection of personal privacy.
In order to ensure compliance with the provisions of the FOIA 2011, and uniformity in the form and style of reporting, the Honourable Attorney-General of the Federation prepared guidelines which is currently being revised and format for the public institutions for the purpose of submission of reports.
